With over two decades in the bridal industry and more than 1,000 weddings styled, I’ve learned that what brides need most is a stylist who brings both expertise and calm energy to their big day. I’m Amy — founder and lead stylist of Behind the Updo. I specialize in on-location bridal hairstyling, designing looks that reflect your personal style while keeping your day effortless, organized, and joyful.

A solo bride experience that includes a preview session, custom day-of styling, and accessory placement

The Bridal Party Updo

Styling for the bride + 4, complete with a personalized timeline

The Ultimate Unveiling

A full-coverage package for the bride + up to 6 bridal party members, including touch-ups and flower girl styling

You can also add-on services such as extra previews, groom styling, or clip-in hair extension application, as well as additional services for bridesmaids, mothers of the bride/groom, and guests.


Note: I require a signed contract and deposit during peak season (Bride +4 minimum), and travel fees apply based on your getting-ready location.

My journey began in salons on the East Coast before I transitioned to full-time bridal work. Over the years, I’ve built my business on word-of-mouth referrals, loyal clients, and a deep commitment to excellence. I’ve been featured in Rocky Mountain Bridal Magazine (three times), as well as Baltimore Bridal, and I’m continually investing in education to stay at the forefront of bridal trends and techniques.


But the heart of my work is always the same: calm, custom, and confident beauty — from the very first consultation to the final veil pin.
